  3. Why water? Summer is approaching! Know your needs Know how to stay hydrated Dehydration is more likely in hotter months

  4. How much water should I drink?

  5. Water-rich Foods • Besides drinking water, you can eat more of these water-rich foods to help keep you hydrated: • Crisp lettuce • Watermelon • Grapefruit • Broccoli • Low-fat milk and yogurt

  6. Signs of Dehydration • Early signs of dehydration include: • Thirst • Flushed skin • Increased body temperature • Premature fatigue • Faster breathing and pulse rate • Later signs may include: • Dizziness • Increased weakness

  7. Food Label Activity – Think Your Drink! What do food labels tell us about the beverages we drink? Which beverages are more beneficial from a nutritional aspect?
