What positions are available? Custodial Officers – Community Engagement (demand driven) Perth, Nedlands & Fremantle Hospitals (24 x 7) Security Access Monitors – Front of Court Perth Supreme Court and Perth Central Law Court (8am > 1.15pm Monday to Friday)
What do I have to do? Custodial Officers – Community Engagement Provide a safe and secure environment for persons in custody whilst in hospital or attending funerals Security Access Monitors – Front of Court Observation and monitoring of court attendees and interaction with the public
What are the pre-requisites? You need to be: Reasonably fit Able to: Pass a medical examination and police clearance Have: Good hand writing with report writing skills Professional interpersonal skills Above average literacy, numeracy and linguistic skills A current driver’s licence, or, reliable means of transport for shift work Be available for: Paid initial training Completion of Senior First Aid and CPR qualifications.
Pay Rate when in training (effective August 2007) $15.55 per hour Base Hourly Rate after successful completion of training (limited licence), from … $17.61 plus casual loading (normal hours span 5am – 8pm) Penalty rates apply outside of normal hours, weekends, public holidays. Uniforms, training and assistance with qualifications will be provided.
