Switch to Visual Studio 2013; Build Your App’s Package • Use the App Package Manifest Editor • Re Visual Assets tab – need logo for all required sizes (match sizes EXACTLY); use Windows Store Image Processor (WSIP) from aka.ms/wsip; find results in source folder The University of North Texas, ITDS Dept., Dr. Vedder

Building the Package, 2 • Re Capabilities tab – check only what is needed and nothing more, else rejection • Re Packaging tab – complete • Project | Store | Create App Packages … • Follow the steps • Use your standard DreamSparkuserid & pw • Wait for the code emailed to you • Walk away for a while after launching the certification process The University of North Texas, ITDS Dept., Dr. Vedder

If Your App is Rejected … • Create a new package with a new version number • Store will ask for the app name to determine if it’s dealing with a new app or an update • Common errors: missing logo sizes, incorrect logo sizes, wrong orientation • Use Certification Requirements Archive for referencing error messages The University of North Texas, ITDS Dept., Dr. Vedder

What is the Audience Ceiling for Your App? • The REALISTIC ESTIMATE of how many users might buy your app • Actual ceiling varies with the app • 30,000 for a niche app is really doing well • As you near saturation, what will uou do next?
