List of activities during the project: Recent Activities: • According to project plan all the web-sites must have been bilingual. Georgia had the web-site fully in English and during last year we have created the Georgian version for it. The Georgian version currently is not complete, but most interesting part – such as main information and different publications ( including educational, e.g. “Manual in marine data and information management”) are in native language for the country. • The requested brief information about IODE and ODIN Black Sea and corresponding links used to be in both languages but on the same page of the web-site. After creation of Georgian version of web-site, the information in Georgian was moved to corresponding page of Georgian version. • The content of English version of the web-site is being updated regularly. • General information from all the CDI files (Metadata) that were sent from Georgian Institutes have been published on the web-site. • The Daily measurements of Sea Level collected 2000-2009 has been submitted to ODP Using ODP Data provider.
List of activities during the project: Earlier: • Information Published about IODE, including logo and link to IODE formal website; • Information Published about ODIN Black Sea with corresponding links • ODP Data Provider software Installed on our server; • Trainings held for the local data holders and UPGrade BSS partners. • The manual (in Georgian) for the students of natural sciences “Marine Ecology” Published at Tbilisi State University (K.Bilashvili et. al., TSU, 2009); • The Download Manager installed and upgraded to version 1.1f successfully on all several servers in Georgia (mainly, partners in SEADATANET AND UP GRADE BLACK SEA SCENE network) including TSU Server; • The presentation regarding the determination of present quality of Black Sea datasets and harmonization of future quality of datasets by exploring and harmonizing common DQC and DQA methods was submitted to the IMDIS 2010 Conference. • The process of converting data into ODV format and creating appropriate CDI has been performed.
Plans: • Complete the Georgian version of web-site; • Extend the scope of data that is currently available; • The focal points for the ODIN-ECET will be identified and submitted to the corresponding authorities; • The process of development of Georgian data and information network and implementation of new methods and softs will be continued within EU granted IP SEADATANET II and close collaboration with ODIN –BlackSea Project.
