THE ROWAN ARTS PROJECT An Islington-Based Arts Charity Founded in 2003 (1)
DAY ONE: Induction (What is the Rowan Arts Project About?) Rowan Arts Production Club Holloway Arts Festival Making Inroads …And many more arts projects & activities designed to bring communities in and around Holloway together. (2)
Week One at Rowan Arts • Compiling databases with email logistics and statistics for subsequent analysis. • Purging the Mailchimp system of static items. • Creating lists with details of potential and agreed sponsors for the charity. (3) (4)
Personal Thoughts After Week One • Marketing methods used by the charity are of benefit to the community as a whole. (5) • I have had a good insight into the types of organisations/businesses that could be approached for sponsorship or funding for arts projects. (6) (7)
Online Marketing • Using Excel, lists were created of the websites in which events could be uploaded. In some cases organisations may prefer to forward an email to their members or include details of the events in a newsletter, in which case they were emailed with the information. • Instructions on how to upload events on the individual sites and contact details were sought and included in the lists. • Final Step: Seeing the event(s) uploaded for visitors of the World Wide Web to view or seeing the events in an organisation’s newsletter. The Importance of Utilising Social Media Platforms: Twitter (10) (11) (11)
Placement Reflection The arts industry evolves within communities by interrelating with other constantly developing technological, scientific, cultural and social fields. Rowan Arts achieves its goal of bringing these communities/industries together as well as communities in and around Holloway. (12) (14) (13) (15)
