What is a CLT? • Not for profit community-based organisation • Provides and manages land, housing and other buildings at affordable levels in perpetuity Aims • Affordability in perpetuity • Stewardship • Sustainability Shared features but distinct: • Principal function to meet local housing need • Legally defined in Housing and Regeneration Act 2008, Section 79
