The three little chickens By: David Ahlzadeh and Annmarie popjoy
Once upon a time there lived three little chickens. Nobody would buy the chickens if they did not grow. So each chicken decided to take a different amount of growth substance, to make them big buyable chickens.
The first little chicky took less than 5% growth substance and ended up not growing because he didn’t take enough. Then the little chicky was never bought and died alone.
The second little chicky decided to take tons of growth substance. Unfortunately for him, there was too much (over 10%) and he died. This little chicky never got bought either.
But the final little chicky took jussssssssssstttttttt the right amount. He grew to be the biggest chicken on the farm, and was bought. This little chicky lived happily ever after as a Christmas dinner.
Explanation • This story relates to our experiment by showing how much growth substance is needed for the chicken to live happily ever after. Even though they were both very different, they both proved the same thing: any growth substance under 5% wouldn’t work and any over 10% will kill the chicken.
