Essential Questions • How can improving teaching strategies enhance student achievement? • What does effective tier one and tier two look like at the secondary level? • What is the relationship between differentiation and RTI? • How can you develop a deep database of research-based interventions in your school?

An Effective Research-Based Strategy • Provides organization, rules and procedures. • Builds positive relationships • Gets all students actively engaged • Develops deep thinking skills • Helps students master content • Is rooted in sound learning theory • Improves teaching, learning and achievement

4. The sooner you get learners engaged the better they do. No engagement --- no learning.
