  3. Claim • Bigger beans have different needs than smaller beans. • For example they need more water to grow than smaller beans, they might also need more time to grow. • If the experiment had been conducted over a longer timeframe, the giant beans would have grown.

  4. Qualifier If we agree that that big and small flowers don’t need the same amount of water, soil or fertilizer

  5. Rebuttal Unless the larger beans used in the experiment were old or dead, e.g. if they had been dried.

  6. Warrant Most organism have different needs and will survive in different conditions and climates

  7. Backing The experiment has shown that bigger bean do not live in the same conditions as small bean, It in generally agreed that lager plants grow more slowly than smaller plants, e.g. trees v. flowers.
