Design & management • Design • More advanced HTML code • Incorporation of pictures and logos • Utilization of hypertext-preprocessor (PHP) • General template for all pages • Management • Acquire free web hosting for real world environment • File Transfer Protocol (FTP) management
Design – advanced html code • Researched and studied more advanced HTML tags than for the previous portfolio assignment • Implemented use of HTML tables to align and manage content • <table>, <td>, <tr>
Design – pictures, php, & template • Created pictures to serve as links and add visual appeal to the site • Utilized a “onmouseover” attribute in HTML to create a dynamic link when hovered over • Used PHP include() function to use a file named header.php and footer.php which contained the main site design • Allows for one-stop editing that can apply to all pages
Management – Web hosting • Acquired free hosting from Zymic Webhosting Services • Included free PHP, FTP, and MySQL access • Easy-to-use control panel • Option of a number of domains to use, I chose nsmith.zzl.org
