E-health Applications • Remote medical consultations: • A doctor in Belem promptly checks for life-threatening situations in pregnant women ultrasound files administered by local riverine technicians and sent via the data mule network to the city hospitals • A riverine patient relates his problem on a video sent to doctors in Belem, who analyze the problem andsendtheir prompt diagnosis back to the patient • A patient’s electronic stetoscope files are sent to Belem where doctors reviewing the files may call for the patient to immediately come to Belem, upon high risk of a heart attack
