  3. COURSE AIMS In today’s increasingly globalized society, it is important to understand the socio-political and economic factors driving the changes in the world. This module will increase awareness of what is going on in the world today, how it became that way and the global social and economic trends forward. We will achieve this by understanding tools economists and social scientists use, and apply them to important events in the real world.
