  2. Google I/O Developers Conference this year took place from 17th to 20th May, 2017 at Shoreline Amphitheatre. The CEO of Google Inc. Mr. Sundar Pichai shared a lot of information regarding latest smartphone launches, latest technology updates and various other new features from Google in this event. Let us discuss some of the important points that are going to be beneficial for the users in the coming years.

  3. Google Assistant and Google Lens Combining to Analyze your Surroundings Do more than just clicking pictures of every place you visit using your smartphone camera. With Google Lens, the latest technology from Google, along with Google Assistant, get more information about the places you visit or know about the species of the flower or animal you see. For example, if you point your camera at any flower or plant, you can get all the information of the species right on your screen. Let us take another instance, you are walking to the nearby restaurant and you point your camera towards the restaurant, you will get the ratings and reviews of that place. Open your Google Assistant App and start experiencing your surroundings in a more exciting way through Google Lens.

  4. Google Assistant App also in iPhone iPhone users can now use Google Assistant too, though Apple’s Siri is going to be the default assistant in iPhones. Users can download the Google Assistant app from Apple App Store.

  5. Super Chat Feature in You Tube During live streams in You Tube, hundreds of users send messages to the creators in the comment section. If you are one of them, your comment may not even reach the creator due to such magnitude of messages. In this situation, Google has started ‘Super Chat’ feature in You Tube. Through this feature, you can highlight your comment and the message is also pinned to the comment box. Thus, your comment has the highest possible chance to be seen by the creators and you can get a positive response too from them. All you have to do is invest some amount of money to make a purchase for your message to be highlighted.

  6. Google Photo Sharing Google can now suggest users about what photos they would like to share and with whom, using a feature named ‘Suggested Share’.

  7. Smooth Indoor Navigation through VPS Technology Google is launching Visual Positioning Service (VPS), that helps users with directions inside any building or store using the Tango AR platform. For example, if you want to locate a particular object inside a store, through VPS you can find the location easily.

  8. The Google I/O developers conference this year has promised new updates in some sectors and also introduced us to various new technologies. If these technologies and updates are put into effect, it will be very useful for all the users in their day to day lives in the coming years.
