The rationale – Input to the professional field of sign language interpreting in the areas of research, development and management. – Providing background and substance for jobs done by sign language interpreters ‘out there:’ – SLI research and training – Administrative functions in institutional contexts – Policy development – International settings, e.g. conferences – Mentoring, supervision
Starting points – Target group: Practising sign language interpreters with a first academic degree – Format: Part-time study, international group (DE, FI, UK), international learning experience – Size: 90 ECTS (= 1.5 years full-time study) in 2.5 years – Study areas: ‘international skills,’ ‘developing the profession,’ ‘doing research’ – Degree: Joint Master degree in Sign Language Interpreting – Language: English – Fees: Yes ...
