Host Promotions Help You BuildYour Business by: • Building sales and generating future bookings • Increasing “confirmed” reservations (bookings) by obtaining dates and charge cards at Wine Tastings • Helping you help create Host loyalty resulting in satisfied Hosts with repeat business • Helping you create excitement at your Wine Tastings for both your Host and Guests
Host Promotion Objectives Objectives • Program encourages Host to purchase more at their own Tasting based on receiving discount coupons for future orders, as we will “match their purchase” at their Wine Tasting with 20%, 30%, or 50% discount coupons. This richly rewards your Host with fabulous discounts. • Increase sales at Wine Tastings and eliminate “zero sales” Wine Tastings which are disappointing both to the Host and to You. • Offer the Host a goal so you can work together with them to have a successful Tasting • Allow and encourage the Host to obtain outside orders and outside bookings prior to his/her Tasting, to increase both sales and bookings and, in turn, create more wine discounts for your Host • Create solid Bookings with fewer cancellations. You and your Host can work together to make sure future bookings hold to assure he/she receives their maximum wine discounts

Host Promotion Jan – Mar 2013 How to Coach Your Hosts On Our New Host Promotion • Give a thorough explanation of the new Host Promotion to the Host on initial coaching call. Find out what their goals are regarding the program, asking them which “package” they would like to work on obtaining. • Encourage the Host to go for the Platinum Package, explaining how simple it is to reach their maximum rewards. By reaching for the top, even if they don’t ultimately reach the Platinum Package, they will still have a better opportunity of reaching at least Silver or Gold.
Host Promotion Jan – Mar 2013 How to Coach Your Hosts On Our New Host Promotion Simple Script “Mary, I would love to help you earn that 50% discount coupon! I would encourage you to over‐invite, as there are always people who cannot make it to your Wine Tasting. An easy way to obtain a few outside orders AND outside bookings is to tell the people who cannot attend that they do not have to miss out on purchasing our exceptional artisan wines, nor do they have to miss out on the experience! Tell them that if they would like to purchase some wine, and have it delivered to their doorstep, I will call them and give them my recommendations, based on their personal tastes. Also, if they would like to experience a guided in‐home Wine Tasting with their friends, they can make a Tasting Reservation with me. Obtaining a Tasting Reservation, and one or two orders prior to your Tasting, will help you reach your goal.” • Host Coaching is the key to obtaining maximum results from any Host program or promotion. • Your Host is your partner, you are working together to have a successful event—if your Host meets their goals, you will then meet your goals. • Our Hosts are precious—they are our very best customers and the future to your business Coaching
Host Promotion Jan – Mar 2013 Presenting the Host Program at a Tasting • At Tasting, every guest should have the Host Program brochure included on their order board. Guests need to be aware of our program to understand that the Host receives perks and rewards based on the sales and bookings obtained. This encourages the guests to support their host, which increases sales and bookings at the Tasting. The visual aid of the brochure/flyer is the first step in planting the seeds.
Host Promotion Jan – Mar 2013 Presenting the Host Program at a Tasting • At the beginning of the Tasting, as you “toast your host”, thanking them for their hospitality, you can also say: “In appreciation, we have a value-packed Host Program to reward and honor our Hosts. Please refer to the Host Brochure included on your order board.”
Host Promotion Jan – Mar 2013 Presenting the Host Program at a Tasting • Half-way through the Tasting, it is time to talk about our Host Program again: “I hope you are all having fun tonight! This is the perfect way to share great times and great wines with friends. My job is to help my Host achieve maximum rewards tonight...all we need is three Tasting Reservations booked within 60 days, plus 4 or more interest forms (orders), and I will be able to award them with this 50% discount coupon to be used on their future purchase after all Tastings have been held! Also, in addition to the 50% discount coupon, our Host will also have the option to purchase their first month of our Wine Club at 50% off, and, last but not least, our Host is eligible to purchase our Host’s choice 7 bottle or 14 bottle host package! And, in appreciation of my FUTURE Hosts, I have a $10 discount coupon for all of you to use tonight towards your purchase! All we need is a confirmed date tonight to confirm your Tasting Reservation in my calendar.”
Host Promotion Jan – Mar 2013 Presenting the Host Program at a Tasting • At this time, before Tasting is finished, you can say: “If you already know you will be reserving a Tasting event, please raise your hand now so I can give you one of these $10 coupons.” This is a great way to initiate some action on this and to create a sense of urgency about the coupons. If just one person takes a coupon, it now breaks the ice and will encourage others to follow suit as the evening progresses.
Host Promotion Jan – Mar 2013 Presenting the Host Program at a Tasting • Every time you confirm a Tasting Reservation (booking) for the night, announce it to the room: “We have two Reservations, just need one more for Jane to receive her 50% coupon! Does anybody else want to take advantage of our great program and also receive $10 off their order tonight?”
Host Promotion Jan – Mar 2013 Presenting the Host Program at a Tasting • Whether you help your Host achieve one, two, or three bookings for the evening, you will still make a big announcement, letting everybody know that you are awarding them a discount coupon for 20%, 30%, or 50%, thanking them and presenting the coupon to the Host at that time. • This is all about creating the perception of how WineShop At Home honors, appreciates, and rewards our Hosts. • We, as Consultants, need to realize that our Host is our number one priority and he/she needs to be treated like royalty in the eyes of our guests!
