Using Google Apps to create webpages – Why not get your pupils to set a maths page up?
FlashMeeting – video conferencing for everyone • Flash-based online video conferencing • Free for educational use • Give it a careful look – very powerful tool
Online discussion forums Encourage pupils to use educational forums at home – wideneds their experience!
Creating a backdrop in Drama • Low level ICT, high level Drama • Used Audacity (free) Moviemaker (Free) and some imagination • Created a multimedia backdrop to perform in front of. • Use and Photostory free from MS
Graffiting sources The one real justification for an interactive whiteboard… Know it’s English but get pupils to explain to each other using the IAWB – get them up and using it as well as a teaching tool it’s a learning curve!

Podcasting with students PODCAST - Audacity is free and you can get groups to podcast e.g. Time tables to each other or other concepts – can play them on their mobiles to revise etc. Audacity or any other free web based program
Google Apps spreadsheet • Free online Google apps • Transforming how we can use application software • Basic – but the functionality you need • Brilliant collaborative opportunities – SHARE!
YouTube in better quality Add: &fmt=18 Don't forget YouTube and TeacherTube for some NEAT films
Flyovers in Google Earth • Brilliant – and free – Google Earth • Fantastic way of representing journeys / movement • Use in Science, Languages (Describe in Welsh/French/English etc) Maths (real sense of Distance), Art – (Draw a landscape – and understand it), History (what was it like/like now) PE (Plan a route for a run) etc.
Online storyboarding • Another free online too – E2BN.net • Really effective tool as students – creativity & guidance • Many more tools like this appearing…
Pecha Kucha - Japanese http://www.pecha-kucha.org/ • Has rules • Strict PowerPoint presentation • 20 slides only • Each shown for 20 seconds Can be used on-line or make a class rule – create a ppt of 10 slides that takes ----minutes to show on a choice of interesting ideas on maths for example
IWB for £30- Why not if you have a Wii bring it into school and let the kids have a play - get them to bring in theirs – instant IAWB! Tell them to use it at home and show work to parents! (Teachers’ revenge) Wii handset and software from the internet = (free) interactivity
Your contributions - add a post it note widget to take notes during a lesson – for you and your pupils Post-it notes
