Canvas, Peer/Success Coach, Advising • Enrollment intention status form Answer this question with a yes to get assigned your peer or success coach and to be placed into your Introduction to DSU Canvas Course to connect with your Academic Advisor and learn how to register for classes. The enrollment intent question is in your application portal. You can also access the enrollment intent from the “what’s next” page. • Introduction to DSU Canvas Course Go to dixie.edu, click on current student, then click on Canvas. Login with your Dixie ID number and password, then accept the Canvas course. Click on the course, and get started with the modules. • Peer Coach / Success Coach Connection Your peer or success coach will be contacting you through email, text, and phone. They are there to help you through the process and to answer your questions. • Academic Advisor Your Academic Advisor is also available to help answer questions and to help you with your class schedule. • Set up your Dmail Always check your email and Dmail for important information. Your financial aid and registration information will be sent to your Dmail account.

8. 3 Easy steps to register for your Fall 2019 class schedule • Step 1: Accept your Canvas course to learn how to register for classes: dixie.instructure.com/login/ldap • Step 2: Plan your schedule in your MyDixie account. For help picking classes, schedule an appointment with your Academic Advisor: advisement.dixie.edu. You can also look through the DSU Catalog for class options: catalog.dixie.edu • Step 3: Click submit on your planned schedule from your MyDixie account on Thursday, April 4th • *Note: for students in the Student Success Program, all you need to do is fill out your “Registration & Program Agreement” questionnaire in Canvas, and your schedule will be made for you based upon your responses in the questionnaire.

Financial Aid & Scholarships • If you have not filled out a FAFSA, go to fafsa.ed.gov and complete one for the 2019-2020 school year. • If you have completed a FAFSA, check your Dmail for notifications from our office. • Student loan acceptance, entrance counseling and promissory notes can be completed after July 1st • Work-study jobs applications can be submitted through dixie.joinhandshake.com beginning early July.
