Objectives • The course consists of two separate parts, a lecture class and a laboratory class. • The lecture class focuses on fundamental concepts of computers such as hardware, software, multimedia and internet. • The laboratory class takes a hands-on approach to gaining practical knowledge of how to use computers.

Lecture class Inside PC Introduction to Computers Computer Architecture Operating Systems Multimedia Data Communications Internet Laboratory class MS Windows XP Haansoft Hangul MS PowerPoint MS Excel 2008 Spring Semester • - English • 2 exams for the lecture class • Korean • No exams for the lab class • 7 assignments • Absolute evaluation (Exams 70% + H/W 20% + Attendance 10%) • Student monitors for reviewing the class

Lecture class Inside PC Introduction to Computers Computer Hardware Computer Software Multimedia Data Communications Laboratory class MS Windows XP Internet Haansoft Hangul MS PowerPoint MS Excel > • Spring lecture class laboratory class • Fall lecture class laboratory class or < 2008 Fall Semester • One exam for lecture class / One exam for lecture and lab classes • - 7~8 assignments • Absolute evaluation • Student monitors for reviewing the class • English only, but Korean for Korean-version software • Every week 1 hour extra class (using Korean) •  Mon: 1 hour, Wed: 1 hour + 1 hour (optional)
