Summary • The EMAN working group provides a forum for energy management. • By creating information models that describe devices and their use with respect to power and energy, network administrators can achieve energy management with a sophistication on par with other network management areas. We propose that by introducing context, power/energy descriptions, monitoring, and state control, administrators can create sophisticated energy management and analytic management systems. Introduction • The requirement of reducing the energy cost and achieving the energy sustainability. • At the ietf meeting in 2009, the first time energy - management (eman) was discussed. • In august 2010, eman working group was established. Information Model & Energy Object Visualizing Power & Energy Importance Keywords Role Domain A Universal Unique Identifier (UUID) [RFC4122] is used to uniquely and persistently identify an Energy Object.Ideally the UUID is used to distinguish the Energy Object within the EnMS.
