Tools for Producing and Publishing Documents • Prezi – creates a fun, animated presentation. Can encompass text, video, and images. • Google Docs – workspace that mimics Microsoft office for easy document creation and sharing. • Penzu – online journal interface • Glogster – digital posters • VoiceThread – like a PowerPoint with a voiceover. Allows for audience comments.
Tools for Interacting, Collaborating, and Communicating • TodaysMeet – user-created and monitored chat room; only accessible by sharing a link (no strangers) • Vyew – creates a shared workspace updated in real time. Great for group projects. * • Collaboratize Classroom – a hub for online discussion, polls, and other written responses • Titan Pad – the sequel to etherpad. Allows for a real-time, color-coded chat only available to invited users.
Tools for Evaluating Info • Diigo – allows students to bookmark and annotate media from the web • Could also be used to annotate documents we upload • Sweet Search – search engine that only shows results that have already been evaluated by a research group. • Boolify – helps students understand how their search works and how to improve their terms
