Did you Know? • Manufacturing supports an estimated 17.4 million jobs in the United States. • Nearly 12 million Americans (or 9 percent of the workforce) are employed directly in manufacturing. • Taken alone, manufacturing in the United States would be the 10th largest economy in the world. • Manufacturing in the United States produces $1.8 trillion of value each year, or 12.2 percent of U.S. GDP.

WORKFORCE TRENDS MANUFACTURING • Over Next Decade by 2023 Commercial Aircraft Production Levels up by 25% • In 2014 Double Digit Growth Expected in this Segment! • Expected 2 million job openings in MFG. from 2008 to 2018 • Indeed.com: Manufacturing Job Postings have Increased 20% since January 2013 to Over 130,000 jobs posted today. And: Clicks on MFG. Jobs have Increased 15% Since Jan 2013 (People are Exploring Options)
