  2. A celebration of ACS CAN’s 10 years of accomplishments: • Greater government investments in cancer research • Better access to lifesaving health care • Easier availability of mammograms and colonoscopies • Broader smoke-free policies and higher tobacco taxes

  3. A celebration of the milestones YOU’VE reached or hope to reach because of cancer research I hope to see my grandson graduate from high school. My children never have to go through what I went through. I want to celebrate my 40th wedding anniversary with my dear wife. I got to celebrate my 50th birthday surrounded by friends. I was able to walk the survivor lap at my Relay For Life. My mom and I enjoyed one more sunset together.

  4. The Campaign DOUBLE the Members. • 60,000 ACS CAN members by September 2011. DOUBLE the Research. • Continue investment in cancer research, double funding in eight years. DOUBLE the HOPE. • Hope to end cancer as we know it.

  5. Take Action All Year • Speak out on important legislative issues • Join ACS CAN • Promote the need for more attention on the priority issue of federal funding for cancer research

  6. Culminating with local Celebrate with Action events in every Congressional District • Week of September 18, 2011 • Promote ACS CAN and draw attention to the need to fully fund cancer research and programs • Send leadership volunteers to annual Leadership Summit and Lobby Day with collective voice/milestones of their communities
