  1. Jake and Jack’s Special Legs Everything you need to know

  2. Our legs look the same as your legs but they are different on the inside. The difference is that our muscles have not grown as much as they should have. The doctors at Alder Hey Children's Hospital call this a Neuro-Muscular Disorder.

  3. We try to run as fast as most of our friends in the playground but because our muscles are smaller,we use lots of energy and get tired quickly.

  4. So this means we sometimes have a rest while the rest of you are still on the move.

  5. We would really like it if you would help by understanding that we can’t run as fast as you or swim as well. Maybe you can come and chat to us when we are having a rest.

  7. Our Wheelchairs

  8. We are now very lucky as The Wheelchair service, have provided us with wheelchairs to help us when our legs are tired.
