  3. COMMUNITIES SERVED BYTREEVITALIZE From October 1, 2012 – September 30, 2013, TreeVitalize served a total of 504 Communities. The combined population of these communities is: 6,157,218 people. This is about half of the population of the Commonwealth.

Other Accomplishments Spawned byTreeVitalize • Pittsburgh Master Plan • Lancaster Canopy Analysis and Implementation Plan (CAIP) • US Forest Service Urban Field Research Station in Philadelphia • The National Arbor Day Foundation has hosted two national meetings in Pennsylvania since TreeVitalize began • UTC has successfully been used by communities to apply for grants • DVRPC is preparing, and paying for, an urban tree canopy assessment of the Philadelphia region
