  3. What is energy? • Energy is one of the most fundamental parts of our universe. • Something that can cause change and do work. Light and heat • Energy is defined as"the ability to do work.”

  4. Introduction to Energy Energy is one of the most fundamental parts of our universe. We use energy to do work. Energy lights our cities.

  5. Energy powers our vehicles, trains, planes and rockets.

  6. Energy warms our homes, cooks our food, plays our music, gives us pictures on television, and powers machinery in factories.

  7. Energy can be found in a number of different forms. Kinetic energy is motion energy. Potential is often referred to as stored energy.
