No one ever questions where I am… • 8. Where else can I wear bars and not have a friend named “bubba” • 7. When I screw up, I always get “He’s only a Lieutenant” • 6. Right out of college, they let you fly a $90 million airplane!
Top Ten reasons it is good to be a CGO • 5. They always think I am prior enlisted • 4. There is always great parking for any LT at the O’Club • 3. At the commissary too! It always says “Any General Officer” • 2. Although it is 9 years long, it feels like college all over again • 1. How else do you think I finally got to visit Nashville!

Understand the Team • Leadership by Walking Around • Get to know your people • Understand who are the problem solvers and the problem makers • Leadership is like herding cats sometimes
Do not abuse authority • Do not abuse your position of authority • Ex. Executive Officer making decisions for GO • Ex. Using rank and office for personal gain
