  4. What the Rings Stand For The five rings stand for the five major regions of the world :Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania The colors of the Olympic circles have been chosen to represent at least one of the colors on the flag on each country.

  5. The Olympic Flag The Olympic rings are on the flag. The five rings on the flag represent the union of the five continents. The Olympic committee adopted the flag in 1914, and it was first flown at the 1920 Antwerp games.
