  1. Tuesday, April 30, 2013 Daily Learning Target: I can determine central ideas or themes of a text in order to analyze their development and summarize the key supporting details and ideas.

  2. Bell Ringer • Read the questions first. • Then answer the questions on your Bell Ringer paper.

  3. “Sestina” by Elizabeth Bishop • Listen carefully as I read the poem orally. Write down key ideas or images that develop in your mind as I read.

  4. Individual and Partner • Now read the poem individually. Add any new words to your list. • Read the poem with your asssigned partner. Discuss the words that you each have on your list. http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/sestina/

  5. “Sestina” • Partner Project: Complete the 18 questions with your partner. This project acts as your points for the day. Make sure that you complete all of the answers. You have until the last 5 minutes of class. Work hard and stay on task!!!!!!
