Section: ___ Date: __________ • Week 3: CHECKLIST Review and Completion of Assignments • Print out these assignments by the designated deadline. • Did you send an email message to your instructor? • Print out Assignment 1. This 1-page assignment includes notes and a photo regarding a classmate you are interviewing. Include your name in the footer. This is for class credit. • Print out your Bio Page. This 1-page assignment includes a brief description of yourself with a photo. Include your name in the footer. This is for class credit. • Print out Assignment 2. This is the activity with 10 folders and the creation of 4 files. Do this: • a. Open up Windows Explorer and display the folders you created. • b. Use the CTRL + Print Screen keys to capture the screen. • c. Open up Paint (Start => Programs => Accessories) and paste it. • d. Select the portion of the screen that displays the folders. • e. Then, copy the selection. • f. Open Powerpoint and paste the selection into the slide. • g. Add a title, Arial 44, bold, centered. • h. Add a footer: CURR285-??, FirstName LastName, Assignment 2, Spring 2005 • i. Save the file. Print it out. • 5. Do you ask to help others in the class when you are done?

Inside of TEMP STORAGE, create a folder called • YourFirstName-YourLastName Folder 01 • 3. Inside of this new folder, create a Word document called • YourFirstName-YourLastName-Assignment 01 • 4. Create an appropriate title. Use Arial 18 for text. Then, center your title and make it bold. • 5. Create a “footer” with this text: • YourFirstName-YourLastName-CURR 285, Section ?, Spring 2005, Assignment 01 • 6. Interview a classmate. Here are some possible topics: • Describe your classmate’s professional and personal interests. • Describe your classmate’s interest in computers. • Describe something about your classmate that you think is interesting. • 7. For the body of your text, use Arial 14 text. • 8. Type up your interview notes as a very rough draft. (This will not be graded!) Then, save the file. • Take a picture of your classmate with the digital camera. • Save the digital image to your folder. • 10. Expect to use and edit these files to create an introduction of your classmate in the near future. • 11. Print out the rough draft of your notes before the end of class and submit it to your instructor for credit.

Arrange the folders appropriately in this order: • Continent • Country • Capital • 6. Create 1 Word document in each of the sub-sub folders: Tokyo, Bangkok, London, and Paris. Give appropriate file names to these new documents. (Note: Make sure you don’t delete the “.doc” extension.) • 7. Show your instructor when you are done. • 8.
