  7. VHS • Most scanners skip all VHS • Most VHS worthless • LEARN the category, get paid

  8. VHS – What To Look For • Rule of Thumb: If you've heard of it, skip it. Never heard of it? Check it.

VHS – What To Look For • If it’s got sub-titles – scan it • If it’s a musical you’ve never heard of – scan it • If it’s a Sci-Fi / Fantasy other than Star Trek , X-Files, or Star Wars - scan it • If it’s a two or more VHS boxed set – scan it • If it features a well known star in a movie you’ve never heard of – scan it • If the slipcase does not have a bar code (which means it dates to the 70s) and you have a smart phone – look it up • Pass on anything created by Good Times Video

  12. Kid’s VHS • VHS tapes are indestructible • Kids are tough on their movies • Parents have figured this out-rather give kids VHS than DVDs • Personally bought Cars DVD three times(VHS not available) • Kid’s don’t care about 1080p HD • No new VHS being made (limited supply)

  13. Seasonal VHS • Christmas • Halloween • Easter • Valentine’s • Thanksgiving • Charlie Brown • Can have high Sales Rank and low prices when out of season; prices and Sales Rank get better when in season.

  15. Lazy Scanners – Book Sales • Only there on the first day-often only for the first few hours • Big Mistake  • Arlington Sale Example – 100,000+ items • Books under tables • New boxes of books brought out to fill spaces • New boxes brought out the next day
