Don’t overbeat or overmix your cake batter. Slowly pour in the prepared tin and bake for about half an hour. In the meantime, you can start making the glaze. For that, first put the butter in a heavy-duty saucepan and hit it till brown in colour. Take it off from heat and pour it into a mixing bowl. All the remaining

Once the cake is done, take it out of the oven and pour the glaze immediately. Cool for 2 hours before serving. Chicken in Chinese Master Sauce Who said you can use vanilla pods only for making desserts? Here is a chicken recipe that uses vanilla as one of the main seasonings. Ingredients 1 whole chicken weighing about 1.8 to 2 KG Soy sauce: 1 cup Water: 6 1/3 cup Yellow rock sugar (or brown sugar if can’t find it): 150 gms Shaoshing wine or Chinese cooking wine (can be substituted with white or red wine, but add 1 more cup of water in that case): 1 cup Star Anise: 4 Ginger: A large knob Vanilla pod: 1 slit down from the middle Garlic cloves: 4 Preparation First, prepare the chicken. Wash it well and pat dry with a towel. Trim any fat and clean the inside of the chicken well. Place everything else in a large soup pot, big enough to hold the whole chicken, and bring to a boil. Once it boils, let it simmer for 15 minutes in reduced heat. Place the whole chicken, increase the heat, bring the broth back to a boil, and let the chicken cook in it. Reduce heat after 5 min and continue to cook for 15 more minutes. After that, turn the chicken over, and cook for 20 more minutes. Once done, take the chicken out and filter the broth. You can use a part of it to
make a sauce to drizzle over the chicken or keep it for later use. The chicken can be served separately as desired. So, if you have some Madagascan vanilla beans in your pantry, use them to make these recipes and enjoy the taste of it to its fullest. To explore more visit: www.neugininaturals.com.au
