ECLIPSES By: Hannah Meeks Mrs. Lower 5-5
An eclipse is when another space object moves in front of another.
An eclipse forms when the earth moon and the sun are in a straight line. In the picture you can see that the moon is blocking the rays on the sun to pass through to the Earth this is called opaque.
ECLIPSES • When the moon moves between the sun and the earth then a solar eclipse is formed.
When these eclipses happen you have to wear special glasses In the picture you have to wear special glasses or you may go blind. This is because of the brightness of the sun during an eclipse. They may look weird but you should wear them if you want to get a closer look at a solar eclipse or any eclipse.
For years people have been studying eclipses. In around 1850 solar eclipses were discovered and began to be seen uncommon. That is a total solar eclipse with will happen in 2017. Keep a look out in 2017.
REFLECTION • I chose eclipses because we where talking about it in science class a they sounded interesting so that’s why I chose eclipses
2017 Did you know that the next total solar eclipse seen from the united states will be in 2017.
THANKS FOR WATCHING THE END
