What are some factors that affect the precipitation of an area? Windward and leeward positioning. The windward side is the side of an area subject to the prevailing wind, and is the wetter side. Proximity to a body of water Altitude
Microclimates • biomes also may have microclimates. • A microclimate is a zone where the climate differs from the surrounding area. • examples: Oasis in a desert.
