  2. Who/Background Narcissus was a hunter who was famous for his beauty. He was the son of the Blue Leiripe of Thespi.

  3. Legend Legend says that the Greek figure Nemesis, who tried to take Narcissus down, attracted him to a pool where he could look at himself in a pool of water. The reflection was so beautiful to him, he fell in love with it. He could not leave the beauty of his own reflection and died there. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narcissus_(mythology)

  4. Powers/Responsibilities Narcissus did not have powers, but was responsible for his own death. Because he was so vain, caring so much about his own image, he died.

  5. Narcissism The modern word, Narcissism, means: fascinated with oneself. It also means to have excessive self-love. It usually has a negative connotation for being self-involved.
