Features & Benefits • Eliminates coin, currency, checks, and money orders. All money is carried on the card. • The cashless environment reduces workload on the Disbursing Office and other retail environments. • Automates many financial processes on board ship.
So What Does This Really Mean? • No more Split Pay • Faster and more secure than carrying cash • Access your accounts 24/7 • Your money earns interest while in the account
Where Do You Use The Card? • Buying sodas and candy bars from vending machines on board ship. • Paying for meals at Ship’s Mess. • Paying for stamps at the Post Office • Paying for services at MWR. • Borrowing $10 from your buddy - do a card-to-card transfer
Navy Cash™ Cards • Two types: Permanent and Temporary • Permanent: assigned to crewmembers; have a magnetic strip on the back; may be used on board and at ATMs worldwide • Temporary: assigned to visitors or crewmembers who have lost/damaged their Cards; have no magnetic strip; may only be used on board
Navy Cash™ Interfaces • Cashless ATM • Located near ATM locations aboard • Enter card in bill slot and type in your PIN • Follow directions onscreen for: • Fund transfers • PIN changes • View transaction logs

Navy Cash™ Interfaces, Con’t. • Retail Operations Management Registers • Work with POS Devices • Located at merchant locations (Ship’s Mess, etc.) aboard • Like paying for something at a grocery store with a debit card
How Navy Cash™ Works • Load value on to the card - transfer money at the cashless ATM from your account to the chip on your Card, like adding minutes onto a phone card. • Transfer up to $350 onto the card. • Pay for your meals, sodas, etc. • When you’re running low again, transfer available funds from your account to your Card.
Security Features • Your card will be blocked if you incorrectly enter your PIN 3 times at the cashless ATM • Chip only holds up to $350 • Your PIN is required for purchases totaling $25 – when you hit that limit, you must re-enter your PIN to re-initialize your Card
Security Features, Con’t. • Best security feature on your Card is the PIN DO NOT SHARE YOUR PIN WITH ANYONE Even Disbursing Officers will not ask you for your PIN number
