Industry Day Overview The purpose of this Industry Day is to help industry understand the Government’s existing requirements and vision for the EFS contract We will provide clarifications concerning our current business practices. A copy of this presentation will be posted on the EFS website: http://procurement.jsc.nasa.gov/efs/ 12

    13. Current Contract Overview Services are currently being provided by the Engineering and Science Contract (ESC): Contract Number: NNJ05HI05C Prime Contractor: Jacobs Technology, Inc. Period of Performance: February 1, 2005 through January 31, 2013 5 year base plus 3 year contract extension Contract Type: Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF) with Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Level of Effort (LOE), and Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) elements Contract Value: $2.16 Billion Approximately $96 million was for Fabrication 13

    14. The following information is pre-decisional. As such there is no guarantee that the final Request for Proposal (RFP) will be so structured. The information is intended to obtain Industry’s comments regarding the anticipated contract. Therefore, your input is both desired and requested. If there are any changes between what is presented herein and the final RFP, the final RFP shall govern. Anticipated Contract Overview 14

NAICS Code and Size Standard The NAICS Code is 336419, Other Guided Missile and Space Vehicle Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing Size Standard is 1000 employees Period of Performance: February 1, 2013 – January 31, 2018 Base Period: 2/1/2013 – 1/31/2016 Option 1: 2/1/2016 – 1/31/2018 Contract Types: Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) We are contemplating cost-reimbursement delivery orders Proposed Contract 15

    16. EFS is the shop fabrication services portion of the Engineering and Science Contract (ESC). It is expected to be extracted from ESC contract, and is planned to be a small business set-aside The EFS scope is to provide the fabrication personnel to build component and assembly hardware ranging from support-and-development to flight hardware The contract will produce products that require a high degree of engineering interaction, as well as those that require a low degree of engineering interaction Proposed Contract (cont.) 16
