13. Current Contract Overview Services are currently being provided by the Engineering and Science Contract (ESC):

Period of Performance: February 1, 2005 through January 31, 2013
5 year base plus 3 year contract extension
Contract Type: Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF) with Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Level of Effort (LOE), and Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) elements
Contract Value: $2.16 Billion
Approximately $96 million was for Fabrication

16. EFS is the shop fabrication services portion of the Engineering and Science Contract (ESC). It is expected to be extracted from ESC contract, and is planned to be a small business set-aside
The EFS scope is to provide the fabrication personnel to build component and assembly hardware ranging from support-and-development to flight hardware
The contract will produce products that require a high degree of engineering interaction, as well as those that require a low degree of engineering interaction Proposed Contract (cont.) 16
