HighPerformanceComputersystemsLab • R&D Focus • -Parallel & Distributed Systems • -Grid Computing • -Performance Engineering • -Web Technologies • Part of the Department of Computer Science at UCY • Established and coordinate the Cyprus Grid (CyGrid) activity • Our Role • Conduct research and promote the scientific and technological knowledge in Parallel and Distributed Processing. • Coordinate Cypriot research groups and institutions interested in Grid or Grid-related technologies, • Promote the uptake of High Performance Computing in Cyprus through support and expertise transfer to Cypriot scientific and research sectors. • Organize University Seminars, Training Events, Scientific Workshops, Summer Schools, and Conferences in Cyprus.
HighPerformanceComputersystemsLab • HPCL runs two Grid testbeds • The official CyGrid testbed that runs in production mode, • Experimental testbed used for research and development. • HPCL supports and administers the Certification Authority of CyGrid (CyCA). • Connection to the Geant is provided through CyNet
