DT Muons: Offline Analysis • Package of analysis started from the DQM modules and developed further • more info on trigger (correlation between sectors, efficiency for specified trigger configuration e.g. HH&HL ) • fit t0 track by track (reconstruction without calibration) • alignment analysis with tracks • full StandAlone muon reconstruction • Not yet committed, to be decided where to put it in CMSSW (new dedicated package?) • Used always on real data • massively used at the Commissioning • Inside the calibration package we have also monitoring tools related with the detector calibration: • tools for histogramming and visualize our calibration constants • module to check the detector behavior in “test pulse” runs and “noise” runs (dedicated runs for calibration) • Used on real and simulated (when possible) data • massively used at the Commissioning • started to be used on simulated data for the CSA07 S. Bolognesi
DT Muons: Validation suite • CMSSW package (Validation/DTRecHits) to validate the calibration/reconstruction of the data • residuals, pulls and efficiency for all the steps of the local reconstruction • Used always on simulated data (it access the simulation information) • used to validate the local reconstruction in each new CMSSW release • used to validate the calibration constants for CSA07 S. Bolognesi
DT Muons: Monitoring VS Analysis Issue still to be addressed in full details in the DPG Monitoring • a subset of the DQM plots (trigger, digi, reco info) can be selected remaking them with bigger statistics and more precise alignment/calibration • adding also further development of • calibration/alignment validation plots • dedicated analysis for calibration runs (noise, test pulse) Offline analysis • the present offline analysis package can be further automatized, cleaned (and committed), extended with • additional analysis of higher level variables • scaling with full CMS detector (more DT sectors at once, matching with other subdetectors info) S.
