  2. CON EL GRITO DE: ¡VIVA CUBA LIBRE! EN BAIRE COMENZO LA GUERRA DE INDEPENDENCIA CUBANA

  3. ORIENTE Fue en un caserío llamado Baire, cerca de Jiguaní, en la provincia de Oriente, donde los cubanos, el día 24 de Febrero de 1895, iniciaron la guerra que le brindó la libertad a Cuba.

  4. RECORDAMOS A LOS MAMBISES Y SUS HEROICAS HAZAÑAS, POR LOS DIBUJOS Y NARRACIONES PRESENTADOS A TRAVES DE LOS TIEMPOS, Y RARA VEZ LOS VEMOS COMO REALMENTE FUERON HEROES QUE LO DIERON TODO POR LA LIBERTAD DE CUBA MAMBISES

  5. EL GRITO DE BAIRE RETUMBO EN TODA CUBA EN LA HABANA, EN COLON, EN JAGÜEY GRANDE, EN MATANZAS, EN CAMAGÜEY Y EN ORIENTE. POR LO MENOS EN OCHO LUGARES DE LA ISLA SE ESCUCHO EL GRITO DE LIBERTAD EN AQUEL HISTORICO 24 DE FEBRERO

José Martí Juan Gualberto Gómez Antonio Maceo Bartolomé Masó Quintín Banderas Calixto Gracía Máximo Gómez Además, Guillermón Moncada, José Maceo, Collazo, Periquito, Miró, Mayía y Portuondo,son sólo unos pocos nombres de los muchos cubanos dignos que hicieron temblar la tierra en aquel día inolvidable 24 de Febrero de 1895

  19. En el 1902, al constituirse Cuba en un estado libre e independiente, la bandera soñada por el venezolano Narciso López fue ratificada como la insignia oficial de Cuba 20 de Mayo 1902 Sus especificaciones fueron establecidas por el Decreto Presidencial número: 154, de Abril 24, 1906
