Baruntse Expedition • Mount Baruntse Expedition in Nepal is an adventurous way for adventure-seeking climbers from highest Himalayas located on the lap of Mount Everest and mount Makalu in Everest – Khumbu region of Nepal • It is the most accessible 7000-meter peak in this region that offers challenging, difficult and hard sections of 50 degree’s elevation with several sections of technical climbing and risks of an avalanche. • It was first ascended by Colin Todd and Geoff Harrow on 30th May 1954 by the South-East Ridge. • While comparing with other similar altitude mountains, Mt. Itinerary of Baruntse Expedition • Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu [1345m/4411ft] and transfer to Hotel • Day 02: Sightseeing around Kathmandu & Climbing Preparations • Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla [2800m/9184ft] and Trek to Chhuthang [3020m/9905ft] • Day 04: Trek from Chhuthang to Tuli Kharka [4100m/13448ft] via Zatrawala Pass [4600m/15088ft] • Day 05: Trek from Tuli kharka to Kothe [4182m/13716ft] • Day 06: Trek from Kothe to Thangnak [4326m/14189ft] • Day 07: Trek from Thangnak to Khare [5000m/16400ft] • Day 08: Rest at Khare • Day 09: Trek from Khare to Mera La Pass [5400m/17712ft] • Day 10: Trek from Mera La Pass to Seto Pokhari [4850m/16247ft]
