  5. Do What You Are • Personality type - the innate way people naturally see the world • A set of basic drives and motivations that remain constant • People are most successful in jobs that allow them to use their natural gifts

  6. You’re Okay • There are 16 distinctly different personality types. (ex. ENTJ, ISFP) • Non-judgmental - there are no better or worse types. • Each type has its own strengths and weaknesses.

  7. 4 Dimensions of Personality Type • Everyone’s personality falls onto one side or the other of the midpoint on each of these four scales. • All of us use both sides of all four scales, but we have an inborn preference for one side or the other.

Career Decision MakingStep 3: • Make a Plan! • Set some goals • Immediate Goals • Accomplish within 3-4 years • Short-Term Goals • Accomplish within 5 to 10 years • Long-Term Goals • Define where you want to end up eventually. • Create backup plan - remember related careers areas, be realistic and flexible. • Consider non-traditional careers - there might be an opportunity to do something different or new.
