  9. husks – the outer casing of seeds or grains.

  10. kernel – a grain or seed of corn, wheat, or other cereal plant.

  13. fertilizer – to put a substance of the ground to make it richer for growing crops.

  14. leaves – part of a plant that grows from the stem and makes food for the plant.
