  5. Globalisation Globalisation is the process of turning the world into one massive global marketplace. Globalisation has occurred because of: • International trade • Improvements in transport and communications There are many global businesses and brands. • Multinationals or transnational companies (TNCs)

  6. Multinational Companies • Exceptionally large • Manufacturing plants and shops in more than one country • Also called transnational companies (TNCs) • Examples include Coca-Cola, Google, Ikea, Apple
