OVERVIEW In an effort to speed up housing delivery, the Gauteng Department of Local Government & Housing has undertaken to complement conventional housing construction with alternative building technologies (ABT) The focus has been on implementing projects across the province using different products not only for low cost housing but also for middle high income.

    4. OBJECTIVES Facilitate the delivery of housing and assist clear the backlog in the province; Provide a visual change to the face of affordable housing in Gauteng;

    5. EVALUATION PROCESS AGREMENT CERTIFICATION (CSIR) - Tests fit for purpose - ongoing technical assistance NHBRC - 5 year warrantee cover - Construction monitoring CONSTRUCTABILTY COST (Subsidy) TRAINING / JOB CREATION HOUSES ALREADY BUILT IN THE ABT
