The American revolution was between 1775 and 1783. • The people in it were mainly Americans and British, but the British had German allies and the French helped the Americans. • America won American independence was guaranteed. The U.S. was given the territory east of the Mississippi between Canada and Florida. The British could collect debts from Americans. Loyalists properties would be returned. More people could vote. More land was available in the west and from land that was taken away from the Loyalists. Religious freedom was betterAntislavery feeling increased. All but South Carolina and Georgia abolished the import of slaves. American manufacturing increased. State governments were established. The Articles of Confederation was established as the form of national government. Conflict between the U.S. and Great Britain was almost assured because British debts were not collected, Loyalists were not compensated and the British maintained forts in the Northwest. -The American revolution was between 1775 and 1783. -The people in it were mainly Americans and British, but the British had German allies and the French helped the Americans. -America won
