Pros and Cons to Mr. Parker Strengths: Weaknesses: • Creating a safe and nurturing environment for learning. • Use humor to help students learn. • Professionalism is one of my biggest strengths. • Make learning fun and exciting for all the students in the class. • Love using Technology. • Classroom management. • Time management • Getting the students to settle down after they do a fun activity.

  8. Mr. Parker’s Planning Process Look at Common Core and Georgia Performance Standards. Assess where the students are from the previous week. Ms. Spain and I review pre-assessments prior to lessons. Plan groups based on weekly assessments. Fill out school lesson plan format Meet with grade level weekly to Collaboratively Plan.

  12. Lattice Multiplication DI • Used the hand made Lattice Multiplication Grids • Allowed the students to use the grid without messing it up • Students learned multiple multiplication strategies

  13. Explorers LessonStrategies Used for Differentiated Instruction • Students did research and made Power Points • Students worked in pairs and chose their own Explorers • Students also had Leveled Reading to assist their research

  14. Equivalent Fractions D.I. • Used Fraction Strips as visuals for students • The strips allowed the students to move around the different size strips

  15. Colonial America Differentiated Instruction • Students were able to watch videos off United Streaming website • Class participated in a Learning Contract • Gave students choice to allow grading by product

  17. Differentiated Assessment Weekly Math Assessments to get students into Math Groups. Learning Contract allows students to choose what project they want to be assessed on. App to give teachers a way to give quizzes to students.
