  1. CombScan Quick Help Guide This guide will show you the basics essentials to get you started with CombScan 2007.Detailed information on setup and operation can be found in CombScan User Guide.

  2. Insert the CD into the CD-ROM driver.Choose the target folder.Click Install

  3. If a previous version is found on the system, the message below will appear.Proceed with the upgrade.If this is the first time installing the CombScan software onto the system, ignore the message.

  4. Place a shortcut on the desktop by right clicking the bgcs2007Proj.exe file located in the CombScan 2007 directory.

  5. To start the CombScan software, click on the bgcsProj.exe shortcut. Click the LOGIN tab.

  6. At the next window enter user name and password.Name: adminPassword: adminClick LOGIN.

  7. Click UTILITIES tab.

  8. Click the SCANNER tab and at the next window, highlight the scanner’s driver.Click Select

  9. Adding a new user: At the “UTILITIES” window, click “USERS”. At the next window click “ADD”.

  10. Validating the system:At the main menu window, click “VALIDATE” tab.At the next window type the Reference Comb details and hit “SCAN” Comb details

  11. Scanning a Comb:At the main menu window, click the “SCAN” tab. At the next window, enter the comb details and click “SCAN”. Comb details

  12. Results: The next window will show the results for the scanned comb.The results are presented in the form of “ABSORBANCE”, “CLINICAL” and “RELATIVE ABSORBANCE” values.

  13. Results can bebrowsed, printed or exported to a txt or csv file type.
