Polish New Technology-BasedFirms (NTBFs) • Research question: How many firms operating in high-tech sectors in Poland are truly NTBFs? • Started May 2012 • Initial population of 50 000 companies in Poland • From initial cleaning to publishing the results • Team of over 30 researchers from various parts of Poland • Decentralized research with national co-ordination • Bottom-up network approach, no public financing • See more http://www.seipa.edu.pl/index.php/ida/871/

Internationalization and enterprise growth • Project objective: to study the relationship between international involvement and company growth and performance. • Dataset of 4 200 regular manufacturing exporters • Econometric analysis combined with 16 case studies (mixed method) • Building a theory of internationalized high growth firm within a broader framework of the theory of the growth of the firm • Project received financing from National Science Center • Prospects for research leading to PhD!

Shaping local entrepreneurial communities in the Warsaw Metropolitan Area • EU-funded Project implemented jointly by the Warsaw Municipality and Kozminski 2013-2014 • 150 thousand of active business establishments in Warsaw • Weak (non-existent) ties at thelocal (district) level • Various actions aimed at fostering local networks in 6 districts of Warsaw • Strong research component: entrepreneurship – social networks – urban studies • Action research approach • Prospects for multidimensional research
