ModelQuest System ValidatorAbTech Corporation, Charlottesville, VA Innovation - ModelQuest System Validator (SV) is an automated flight control system (FCS) system validation product for the F-18 High Alpha Research Vehicle (HARV). System validation is being accomplished by computing overplots of hundreds of simulations for insignificant and significant anomalies with a truth model (i.e., comparing new cases with previously established truth cases). Statistical network overplot analysis models automatically identified important differences between the truth model and an actual or hardware-in-the-loop simulated FCS. This is expected to substantially reduce the time required to validate new control systems. Accomplishments - Prototype development completed and delivered to DFRC (funding amount $599,000). - Substantially reduces costs associated with manual inspection of numerous variables for each FCS simulation run - Automates the generation of system validation and diagnostic models based on simulations of normal and anomalous conditions.
