FEDERAL DEFINITION FOR SQGs • Between 100 kg/mo and 1000 kg/mo and accumulation of no more than 6000 kg • Seven states participating in SQGs (this includes Vermont who will be observing the sector). Of these seven states, four use Federal Definition for SQGs: • CO, MA, NY and VT
SQG DEFINITION DIFFERENCES • CT: • Lower accumulation limit (1000 kg/mo). Will be noted in presentation results and should not be a problem • NH: • FQG generates 100 kg/mo or more (SQG 0-100 kg/mo) • May be able to weed out FQGs generating > 1000 kg/mo • No accumulation limits but must ship within 90 days. Will be noted in presentation results and should not be a problem • RI: • SQG generates between 0 – 1000 kg/mo • Unable to weed out those generating between 0-100 kg/mo • No accumulation limits but must be shipped within 90 days. Will be noted in presentation results and should not be a problem
AUTO BODY DEFINITION • Any operation involving collision repair, vehicle painting, paint stripping or sanding, body work, antique restoration or student training in any of these areas • Seven states participating in auto body sector (this includes CO who would like to look at SQGs at auto body shops). Of these states, all agreed conceptually with definition above • Other Refinements, e.g., do we need to create some kind of threshold?
KEY FACTORS INFLUENCING DATA QUALITY • Precision • Sensitivity • Representativeness • Completeness • Bias • Validation
SQG INDICATOR EXERCISE • Review and select indicator categories • Compare indicators within selected categories • Select/develop final draft indicators using worksheet
